The Gabion BOX is a marvel of engineering-a rectangular wire mesh box made from double twisted hexagonal mesh of solid steel wire, reinforced by a heavier selvedge wire along the edges and strengthened by transverse diaphragms. Delivered flat-packed to your site, these mesh boxes are effortlessly assembled, positioned, and filled with enduring rock. Its modular design allows for versatile use in numerous applications and configurations, making it a versatile solution in construction.
A gabion is a multifunctional cage, cylinder, or box filled with stones, concrete, or at times sand and soil, ideal for civil engineering, road construction applications, and landscaping. For erosion control, secure caged riprap is utilized. Cylindrical metal structures are employed for dam or foundation construction. In defense applications, earth or sand-filled gabions provide protection to sappers, infantry, and artillery from adversarial fire.
1. Material
Crafted from premium Low Carbon steel iron wire, our gabions are constructed using heavy zinc coated wire, PVC coated wire, and galfan coated units. Galfan-a high-performance galvanizing process-uses a zinc/aluminium/mischmetal alloy coating, offering superior protection compared to traditional zinc galvanizing. For watercourse exposure or saline environments, a polymer-coated galvanized unit is recommended for enhanced lifespan.
